Royal Enfield has pulled the covers off the Himalayan 750 at EICMA 2026 in Milan, and it is the company's first 750cc motorcycle. The bike was shown on 3 November alongside the Continental GT 750 and the Flying Flea S6 Scrambler, with European bookings opening the same day.

The heart of it is a new 743cc air and oil-cooled parallel-twin. Royal Enfield quotes 54.25bhp at 7,000rpm and 63Nm at 5,000rpm, with 90 per cent of peak torque on tap from as low as 3,500rpm. A six-speed box with an assist and slipper clutch sits behind it. On paper that makes it the most powerful production engine Royal Enfield has built, and the Continental GT 750 uses an uprated version of the same twin.

The hardware is a step up

This is not a stretched Himalayan 450. The 750 rides on 43mm Showa inverted forks with 190mm of travel and a linkage-type Showa monoshock with 175mm at the rear. Brakes are twin 280mm discs up front and a 255mm disc at the rear. Wheels are a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, tubeless, with a choice of cast alloy or spokes.

Kerb weight is 224kg, seat height is 815mm, ground clearance is 205mm and the fuel tank holds 17.8 litres. Payload is rated at 195kg, which matters if you ride two up with luggage. The windscreen adjusts across five positions through a 60mm range, and rider and pillion seats are separate units.

Electronics are the biggest change from anything Royal Enfield has sold before. There is a six-axis IMU driving cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control, five riding modes called Road, Road Sport, Rain, Trail and Custom, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, dual USB-C ports and a four-inch TFT with Bluetooth navigation.

What it costs, and when India gets it

European pricing starts at £6,999 in the UK for the alloy-wheel version and £7,390 in Italy. The spoked-wheel bike is £7,299 in the UK, and a loaded Antarctic Silver version with GIVI luggage is £8,699. Five colours are listed: Antarctic Silver, Siberia White, Aztec Green, Viking Bronze and Tectonic Black.

Those are European figures and they are not a guide to an Indian sticker. Royal Enfield builds its twins at Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal, so an India-made 750 does not carry import duty. For reference, the Himalayan 450 sits well under ₹3 lakh and the 650 twins run from roughly the ₹3 lakh to ₹4 lakh band, so a 750 flagship priced above the Super Meteor is the sensible expectation rather than anything close to the UK number.

Royal Enfield has not confirmed an India launch date. BikeWale reports the India debut is expected at Motoverse 2026, which runs from 26 to 28 November in Goa, and that fits the company's habit of saving its home-market reveals for that weekend. CEO B. Govindarajan said the new products reflect a plan to expand the portfolio while staying with the firm's Pure Motorcycling philosophy, and the company says the Himalayan family has grown to more than 3,20,000 riders worldwide in the decade since the 411 arrived in 2016.

For an Indian buyer, the question is simple. The Himalayan 450 remains the value pick for Ladakh runs. The 750 is aimed at riders who have outgrown it and are looking at a Triumph Tiger Sport 660 or a Honda XL750 Transalp, and who would rather spend that money on something built an hour from Chennai.
