What this means for a buyer
None of these numbers are fixed. Every article carries the same caveat: a dealer in a smaller town with surplus stock of an outgoing variant can offer more than the figures listed, while a city dealer short of the same trim may offer less or nothing extra. Business Today reported on November 6 that passenger vehicle inventory across India stood at 43 to 45 days at the end of October, unchanged from September, which is why dealers are still pushing cash and exchange bonuses on slower moving petrol and diesel stock even as newer launches sell with little to no discount. Buyers should get the exact figure in writing from their own dealer before booking.
