Kawasaki Z300 launched in India at ₹3.24 lakh, and UK titles are now asking for it
Kawasaki India has priced the new 296cc parallel-twin naked at ₹3.24 lakh ex-showroom, and Visordown, which picked the story up on 27 October, says there is a case for the bike in Britain too.

KTM 390 DukeIndia usually gets the hand-me-downs in this class. This time the traffic is going the other way. The Kawasaki Z300, a naked built around the Ninja 300's 296cc parallel-twin, was shown in India on 12 October and priced soon after at ₹3.24 lakh ex-showroom, according to BikeWale's report of 21 October. Autocar Professional dates the launch to 22 October. Either way, this is an India-first launch, and the UK's Visordown wrote it up on 27 October while noting that Kawasaki has not confirmed a British or European release.

What Kawasaki India has actually confirmed
The official Kawasaki India page for the 2027 Z300 lists 29.4 kW, which the company states as 40 PS at 11,000 rpm, and 26.3 Nm at 10,000 rpm. Kerb weight is 175 kg, seat height 785 mm and the fuel tank holds 17 litres. Suspension is a telescopic fork with 120 mm of travel and a bottom-link Uni-Trak gas-charged shock with preload adjustment and 132 mm of travel. Braking is a 290 mm front petal disc and a 220 mm rear petal disc, both with twin-piston calipers and ABS. Colours are Candy Lime Green and Metallic Carbon Gray.
Read the numbers carefully, because they move around depending on the unit. Visordown quotes 39.5 bhp, Autocar Professional 39 hp and BikeWale 39.4 bhp, all from the same 40 PS claim. The engine itself is the known Ninja 300 unit with DOHC, eight valves and dual throttle valves, and Visordown reports an oxygen sensor in the exhaust for emissions control. Styling follows Kawasaki's Sugomi look, scaled down from the Z900.
The India price question
At ₹3.24 lakh the Z300 is the dearest thing in its corner. Autocar Professional puts the KTM 390 Duke at ₹2.85 lakh and the TVS Apache RTR 310 at ₹2.30 lakh. BikeWale works out the gap to the 390 Duke at ₹38,664. For that money you get two cylinders instead of one, 175 kg to carry and a feature list that is thin next to the Indian bikes, which bring ride modes, TFT screens and cornering electronics. Kawasaki's pitch is smoothness and the badge, not kit.
That is a narrow pitch, and it is worth being honest about it. A 390 Duke makes more power for less money. The Apache RTR 310 undercuts the Z300 by nearly a lakh. The Z300 sells on the way a twin revs out and on the fact that nothing else at this price in India has one.

Why the global desks care
Visordown's point is the useful one for Indian readers. The Z300 slots between the Z125 and the Z500 in Kawasaki's global naked range, and the 390 Duke and Yamaha MT-03 both sell in Britain, so the business case exists. If Kawasaki takes the Z300 to Europe, India becomes the lead market for a bike that is later built in volume for export, which usually helps on price and parts. Nothing is confirmed. Treat the European launch as expected at best until Kawasaki says otherwise, and watch for a Z300 appearance in the EICMA stand lists in November.
For now the facts are simple. Price ₹3.24 lakh, 296cc twin, 175 kg, ABS, two colours, on sale in India. Anything beyond that is not official yet.
