What a factory performance driving school costs in India

BMW M2The short answer: budget around ₹90,000 to ₹1,00,000 for a day or two of official, car-provided performance driving in India, or nothing at all if you already own an Audi.
These are the programmes run by the manufacturers themselves, which matters for two reasons. The cars, tyres and run-off area are theirs, and the skills you want, a controlled slide or a proper braking point, are the ones you must never practise on a public road. Doing it on the street is rash driving, and in several states police have been seizing cars for it.
What each one costs
BMW's M Drift Academy charges ₹1,00,000 per participant for a two-day programme in a BMW M2 and BMW M4, with BMW certified instructors. The syllabus is laid out properly: car familiarisation, controlling and maintaining a drift, throttle management, half-circle and full-circle drifts in both directions, then figure-8 transitions. Finish it and you get BMW's "Drift Pilot, Red Badge of Honour".

The AMG Experience India site prices its ON TRACK day at ₹90,000 plus GST, the same at all four venues: the Buddh International Circuit, Madras International Circuit, CoASTT High Performance Centre in Coimbatore and Bren Speedway in Bengaluru. The day is broken into autocross, lead-and-follow laps, launch control runs, a drift challenge with video and telemetry feedback, drag races, hot laps and a closing drift taxi. The cars listed run from the A 45 S and GLC 43 up to the C 63 S E Performance and SL 55.

Audi India's Drive Sure is the odd one out. It is a driver education programme rather than a lap-time chase, built around a dual curriculum for young drivers and for chauffeurs, and Audi says it is complimentary for its customers. If you have just bought a fast Audi and want your regular driver trained on it, this is the one to ask about.
How to book, step by step
- For the M Drift Academy, enrol through an authorised BMW dealership or on District by Zomato. Slots are limited by design, so register as soon as the season is announced rather than waiting for the city nearest you.
- Watch the calendar. The 2026 edition ran across four cities between early April and early May, so the window is short and front-loaded in the year.
- For AMG, use the Pre-Register link on the AMG Experience India site or the phone number listed there. Venue dates were still marked TBC when we checked, so pre-registering is how you hear first.
- For Drive Sure, ask your Audi dealer, since the announcement does not list venues or a public booking page.

What the fee does not cover
Read the fine print before you pay. None of these announcements spells out licence or age requirements, damage liability or what happens if you bin it, so get that in writing from the dealer or organiser when you book. Travel and stay are yours. Helmets, cars and fuel are theirs.
If you want to go further, Porsche's own Track Experience has four levels, DISCOVER, LEARN, BOOST and RACE, with rental cars available on most programmes. The catch for Indian buyers is geography: the circuits listed are European, Barcelona, Spa-Francorchamps, the Hungaroring, the Nürburgring, Hockenheim and Leipzig, with nothing in India or the rest of Asia. That turns a course fee into a flight, a visa and a hotel as well. Start with the ones that come to you.
