Royal Enfield Factory Custom: what it costs and how to book
India's only factory bespoke programme you can actually walk into asks ₹5,000 for an appointment, ₹15,000 to confirm the order and 120 days of patience, and the two published Classic 350 configurations are listed at ₹2,62,370 and ₹2,71,179.

Royal Enfield Classic 350Most factory personalisation departments are something Indian enthusiasts only read about. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Bentley Mulliner and Ferrari Tailor Made all need a car order first and usually a trip abroad. Royal Enfield's Factory Custom service is the exception. It runs out of the company's design studio at Tiruvottiyur in Chennai, it is open to anyone in India who can get a slot, and the money involved is published on Royal Enfield's own page.
Here is the short answer. You register for an appointment and pay ₹5,000, which is refundable if you decide not to go ahead. You then visit the Chennai studio in person on your scheduled date and spend the day working through the specification with Royal Enfield's design team. Once you sign off the spec, you pay a vehicle booking amount of ₹15,000, at which point the full ₹20,000 becomes non-refundable. Royal Enfield says it will make its best endeavour to deliver the motorcycle to the dealership or company owned store you choose within 120 days of that payment. There are 15 slots a month, first come first served, and an appointment can be rescheduled a maximum of two times.

What you can change, and what you cannot
The brief is narrower than the word bespoke suggests, which is a good thing for anyone worried about resale. Royal Enfield lists paint, paint finishes, decals, badges, graphics, seats, seat vinyls and thread colours, plus genuine motorcycle accessories. You can also pick a blacked out or polished engine and spoke or alloy wheels. Nothing in that list touches the engine, the frame or the emissions hardware.
Eligibility is the catch. At the moment the service applies only to the Classic 350 dual channel model. The two configurations Royal Enfield publishes are ₹2,62,370 and ₹2,71,179 ex-showroom, the second adding items such as LED indicators, adjustable levers and a Tripper pod. For context, Royal Enfield's own Classic 350 page lists the model from ₹1.88 lakh ex-showroom Chennai. Genuine motorcycle accessories are over and above that ex-showroom cost, depending on what you select.
- Configuration 1₹2,62,370Only the Classic 350 dual channel model is eligible at present
- Configuration 2₹2,71,179Genuine motorcycle accessories are over and above the ex-showroom cost
| Item | Ex-showroom price |
|---|---|
| Configuration 1 | ₹2,62,370 |
| Configuration 2 | ₹2,71,179 |

The standard mechanical warranty is untouched, 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first. The one practical risk to plan for is a tipover. Royal Enfield says spares for your cosmetic customisations are supplied on a made to order basis within a period of 90 days, on best efforts, from the date you place the order at your nearest dealership. A custom tank panel is not sitting on a shelf in Pune.
If you cannot get to Chennai
The cheaper route is the one Royal Enfield set up in 2019, and it still works the same way. ZigWheels reported at launch that buyers choose official accessories at the time of booking, with items like alloy wheels fitted at the factory and simpler parts like headlamp guards and mirrors fitted at the dealership. Accessories carried a two year warranty, and the price of the part being replaced was adjusted against the price of the replacement. That matters: you are not paying twice for a seat.
The direction of travel is clear. In its 7 October 2026 strategy release, Porsche said it intends to increase Sonderwunsch sales sixfold in the medium term and to lift option revenue per vehicle, grouping Sonderwunsch and Exclusive Manufaktur under a new Exclusiveness pillar. Factory personalisation is where carmakers now want your money. Royal Enfield's version is simply the one with an Indian address and a price you can read before you book.
