Mopar, the parts and accessories brand of Stellantis, announced its 90th anniversary special on 27 October 2026, ahead of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas that runs from 3 to 6 November. It is called the Mopar '27 Dodge Charger, and unlike most anniversary cars it is sold as a package you tick on the order form rather than a separate model.

The numbers are tight. Mopar will build 270 cars in all, 243 of them for the United States and 27 for Canada, split evenly across three colours called Bludicrous, Diamond Black and White Knuckle. The package itself is priced at $10,995 on top of the car. Dealer orders open in early January 2027 and production starts in spring 2027.

What you actually get for the money

This is a styling and detailing package built by the factory, not a power upgrade. The content includes a carbon-fibre front splitter, a carbon-fibre bonnet with a functional scoop and a carbon-fibre rear spoiler, plus a Direct Connection cold air intake, Mopar graphics and a serialised anniversary plaque inside.

Buyers choose between two two-door, all-wheel-drive Chargers. The Charger R/T makes 420hp and Mopar quotes 4.6 seconds to 60mph and a 12.9 second quarter mile. The Charger Scat Pack Plus makes 550hp, with 3.9 seconds to 60mph and a 12.2 second quarter mile. Darren Bradshaw, senior vice president of parts and services, said the edition "delivers exclusive styling, premium materials and signature Mopar touches that celebrate the passion, performance and personalization enthusiasts have come to expect."

The Charger is the headline, but Mopar's SEMA stand, confirmed in a separate release on 21 October, is in West Hall at booth 59119 and is built around the same idea of catalogue parts on showroom cars. Mopar Insiders reports the display includes two Ram 1500 Rumble Bee builds running Direct Connection supercharger upgrades, three Jeep concepts carried over from the Easter Jeep Safari, and a 1969 Charger Daytona tribute built by Graveyard Carz with a supercharged 6.2 litre HELLCrate Redeye engine under the bonnet.

What this means for an Indian buyer

Nothing you can order, in the short version. The two-door Charger is not sold in India, Direct Connection performance parts are not catalogued here, and a limited edition of 270 cars allocated entirely to North America will not reach an Indian showroom.

Mopar does exist in India, though, and that is the part worth knowing. It is the brand under which Jeep India supplies genuine parts and accessories, and the official accessories page publishes brochures for the Compass, the Meridian, the Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee. That is the Indian version of this story: bumper protection, sill guards, roof carriers and interior trim, bought at a Jeep dealer, fitted by the dealer and covered under the warranty terms that apply to factory accessories.

The wider point is a familiar one on this desk. A factory package costs more than a copy from the aftermarket, and the Charger's $10,995 kit will look expensive next to a local carbon bonnet. What the factory gives you in return is fitment that was signed off with the car, a part number, and a warranty position that does not need arguing about. For an owner in India ordering accessories off a Jeep brochure, that is the same trade in a much smaller size.
