Jio-bp pulse chargers go live in Kia's MyKia app on 19 October and in Euler Motors' fleet app on 28 October

Two roaming tie-ups in ten days put the same Jio-bp network inside two more apps, and the fine print shows the network itself has barely grown in a year.

India's biggest oil-company charging network spent the last two weeks selling access rather than adding hardware. On 19 October, Kia India said Jio-bp's charge points would show up inside the K-Charge section of the MyKia app. On 28 October, Euler Motors said the same network is now visible inside its own fleet app, with location, live availability, tariff, slot booking and payment handled in one place.

Both deals are two-way in intent. Kia is pushing 125 of its currently active dealership DC fast chargers into the Jio-bp pulse app, with more to follow and no date given for completion. Euler's integration also supports Autocharge, where the session starts as soon as the DC gun is plugged in, so a driver does not have to open the app at all.

What the numbers actually say

Jio-bp's figures, as quoted in both announcements, are 7,000 plus charge points across more than 1,100 sites in over 300 cities, DC chargers from 60 kW to 480 kW, and a claimed 96 per cent network uptime. Kia's release adds that MyKia users can now reach over 23,500 public charge points in total, which includes the more than 3,000 points it picked up from a BPCL tie-up in February 2026.

That 96 per cent is a company claim, not an audited number, and it is not broken down by charger or by city. A 96 per cent average still leaves room for the one gun you drove to being the one that is down. Treat it as a target, not a guarantee, and check live status in the app before you commit to a detour.

The more interesting number is what has not changed. In its own release of 29 October 2025 for the Devanahalli mobility hub, Jio-bp described its network as close to 7,000 charge points across roughly 1,000 locations, including 32 operational hubs, with chargers up to 480 kW. A year later the public figure is still 7,000 plus points, now spread over 1,100 plus sites. The headline capability is the same. What grew is the number of apps that can see it.

The Bengaluru reading

Karnataka buyers already know the flagship site. The Devanahalli hub on the airport side of the city opened on 29 October 2025 with 28 charge points at a single forecourt, rated up to 360 kW, sitting alongside petrol, diesel, CNG and a cafe. It remains the most useful Jio-bp stop for anyone running an airport taxi round or heading out on NH 44.

For a Kia EV6, EV9 or Carens Clavis EV owner in Bengaluru, the practical gain is that you stop juggling apps and separate wallets for a trip to Mysuru or Hyderabad. For an Euler fleet running Storm or HiLoad three-wheelers, the gain is bigger, because fleet operators pay for driver time spent hunting for a working charger.

What neither announcement settles is tariff. Roaming access does not mean roaming prices, and app-to-app deals in India have usually passed through the host operator's rate, which at oil-company forecourts has run well above a home socket. Before you plan around either integration, open the app, read the per kWh rate at the specific site, and check whether idle fees or parking charges apply. Visibility is cheap to add. Electricity is not.

Same Jio-bp dots just getting pasted into more apps, not actual new hardware going up. Doesn't help us Ola riders directly since S1 Pro isn't on either of these apps. Wonder if this app stacking is actually solving range anxiety or just making the network look bigger than it is.

Don't drive an EV so no skin in this game, but that site count staying flat since last Oct while they onboard two more apps in ten days is telling. Feels like a marketing sprint before year end rather than actual expansion. Anyone tracking if new sites are even in the pipeline or just more badges on the same dots.
