Jeep Jamboree USA's 2027 calendar goes live: 49 events, nine new trips, bookings open 7 and 14 December

Jeep Jamboree USA has put its 2027 calendar online, and the headline on its own site is blunt: "49 Events. 3 Continents. 9 New Adventures." The schedule is open to browse now, but you cannot book yet. Most trip pages carry a registration date in December, and the Jeep Adventure Academy page says its sign-ups open on 14 December 2026 at 9 am PST. Two of the biggest draws, the Rubicon Trail Expedition and the 34th Drummond Island Jamboree, open earlier, on 7 December 2026 at 5 pm and 4 pm PST.

What is on the 2027 sheet

The year starts on 31 January with the OPTIMA Rally at Johnson Valley, California, and runs to a November finish. The Northern Baja Adventure in San Felipe, Mexico is 17 to 22 February. The new Mint 400 Experience in Las Vegas is 4 to 6 March, and San Rafael Swell at Green River, Utah is 15 to 18 March. Iceland gets two back to back runs out of Reykjavik, North of Iceland on 24 to 29 July and South Coast Iceland on 31 July to 5 August. There is a New Zealand trip out of Queenstown in November 2027. Two Women at the Wheel events are listed, Uwharrie in North Carolina on 3 to 5 June and Moab on 1 to 3 November.

The Adventure Academy, which is the training side of the programme rather than the trail-ride side, is at 10 destinations with Hollister Hills returning. Advanced training is at the Rubicon Trail and Moab, capped at 15 vehicles a day.

The money and the vehicle rules

Entry is not expensive by the standards of a long overland holiday. Jeep Adventure Academy lists regular events from $295 per vehicle, including all passengers and lunch, with advanced training from $895 for two people. Drummond Island is priced per head, $395 for an adult, $125 for a child aged 10 to 15 and free for nine and under. The Rubicon Trail Expedition on 17 to 19 August 2027 is the serious one at $2,495 for the driver and $750 for each passenger, with a hard cap of 10 vehicles.

That expedition is also a useful lesson in how a factory-backed programme polices difficulty. The vehicle must be a Jeep Wrangler from 1997 onwards or a Gladiator from 2020 onwards, on tyres of at least 37 inches and no more than 40 inches, with front and rear lockers, bolted tow points, GMRS radios and skid plates over the fuel tank and transfer case plus rocker protection. Prior off-road experience is mandatory and applications are screened. Drummond Island, a family event, still makes tow points and GMRS radios compulsory and bans anything over 40 inch tyres.

Read it against the Indian calendar

Jeep India has nothing comparable published. Its most recent press release, dated 13 October 2026, is about the Wrangler Rubicon Whitecap Edition selling out before launch, and there is no 2027 owner trail or academy calendar on the page.

Mahindra Adventure is the one Indian OEM programme with open dates and transparent pricing. Its listing currently shows Paws and Drive at Kolad on 14 November 2026 from ₹1,000, 4x4 Fundamentals at MSPT Chennai on 21 November from ₹3,500, Getting Dirty at the same venue on 28 November from ₹7,500, Sand Survivor at Jaisalmer on 4 December from ₹40,000 and the Sahyadri Odyssey expedition from Tungi on 12 December from ₹75,000.

The lesson for Indian clubs and OEMs is the structure, not the scale. A published calendar a year ahead, a fixed registration date and time, a stated vehicle limit and a written kit list are what turn an owner drive into something people plan leave and budget around.
