The Indian Supercross Racing League will hold its Season 3 rider auction in Pune on 4 November 2026. The league confirmed the date and the format in an announcement reported on 23 October, and the numbers are the biggest it has put out so far: seven franchises will buy 56 riders from a registered pool of 146 athletes drawn from 21 countries.

For anyone new to this, supercross is motocross brought indoors or into a stadium. A man made dirt track is built inside the venue, with jumps, rhythm sections and a rutted left hand bowl called a whoops and berm layout, and races are short and brutal, usually a few minutes long. ISRL runs it as a franchise league with a player auction, closer in shape to a cricket league than to a traditional national championship, which is why the auction matters as much as the racing.

Seven teams, four classes, 56 seats

The franchises going into the auction room are PBG Racing, BigRock Motorsports SX, Honda BB Racing, Gujarat Trailblazers, Indewheelers Motorsports, Reise TorqRacers and Tricolor Motorsports. PBG Racing, backed by Pune's Punit Balan Group, is the new seventh entry. BB Racing now races as Honda BB Racing after Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India signed on as title sponsor for the season.

There are four categories this time. The 450cc International and 250cc International classes are the quick ones, filled largely by riders out of Europe, Australia and the United States. The 250cc India Asia Mix class pairs Indian riders with Asian entries. The fourth is the new one: Indian Futures, a 250cc Group A class for foreign built bikes that is open only to Indian riders.

By registrations, France sent the most riders at 32, followed by Australia with 20 and the United States with 18. The class split at the close of registration on 7 October was 40 riders for 450cc International, 54 for 250cc International, 26 for the India Asia Mix class and 30 Indian entries for Indian Futures.

Why Indian Futures is the class to watch

Indian Futures is the part of this season that should interest an Indian fan most. Thirty Indian riders registered for it, and because every team has to field two riders per category, each of the seven franchises must carry Indian names on its roster rather than treat them as filler. The league has described the class as a route for budding Indian talent to break into supercross, and it is the first time ISRL has carved out a category that foreign riders cannot enter.

Names to track include Rugved Barguje, Prajwal Vishwanath, Shlok Ghorpade and Ikshan Shanbhag, all of whom have already raced ISRL rounds against imported competition at home. Riding a 250cc foreign bike on a proper stadium track, against a clock and a gate full of peers, is a very different school from the flat dirt track and rally sprint events most Indian riders grow up on.

The calendar, and what is still missing

Season 3 opens on 19 to 20 December 2026, with the second round on 23 to 24 January 2027 and the final round on 6 to 7 February 2027. That is three race weekends, the same count as the provisional calendar announced in September.

The gap in the plan is geography. When the calendar was confirmed, the league had not named the host cities, and no venues were attached to the auction announcement either. Season 2 finished in Calicut with BigRock Motorsports taking the title, so there is form for the league to go beyond the metros. Until the cities are out, fans have a date for the auction and three race weekends with no addresses.
