How to watch WEC and Le Mans from India now that discovery+ has shut down

Until 3 November 2026, the easiest way to watch the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in India was the discovery+ app. That app is now gone. Warner Bros Discovery stopped new sign ups in India from 3 September 2026, switched off auto renewals on monthly plans from 3 October, and shut discovery+ down completely in India on 3 November, exactly as it had told subscribers it would.

That leaves three real ways to follow WEC's eight round season, including Le Mans, from India this winter, plus a free way to watch an Indian driver race a GT3 car in Europe later this month.

Where WEC and Le Mans show in India now

Warner Bros Discovery renewed its WEC and Le Mans rights for Europe and India in February 2026, a deal that runs through 2030 and covers all eight rounds of the championship. For India, the company named HBO Max as its streaming partner. HBO Max is not a separate app here. It launched in India on 16 April 2026 as a hub inside JioHotstar, priced as an add on from ₹49 a month on top of a JioHotstar plan. JioHotstar itself had 503 million monthly active users in the October to December 2025 quarter, so this is now the biggest single door into WEC coverage in the country.

If you still watch television through a set top box, Eurosport itself has not gone anywhere. The channel is live on Tata Play at channel 490, Airtel Digital TV at 298, Sun Direct at 611, d2h at 653 and Dish TV at 630, carrying the same WEC and Le Mans programming it always has, independent of any app.

A direct pass if your operator does not carry it

The World Endurance Championship also sells its own pass straight to fans, with no dependence on an Indian broadcaster at all. The FIAWEC+ service at plus.fiawec.com sells a dedicated Le Mans weekend package for €19.99, covering every free practice and qualifying session plus the race live, with onboard cameras and replays. It works through the FIAWEC+ website and app and carries no India specific restriction, so it is the fallback if your cable operator drops Eurosport or your JioHotstar plan does not carry HBO Max.

The 2026 to 27 Asian Le Mans Series season does not need any of this. Every qualifying session and race streams free, live and on replay, on the series' own YouTube and Facebook pages, worldwide. The season opens as the 4 Hours of Le Castellet at Circuit Paul Ricard in France from 13 to 15 November 2026, the first time the series has run its full calendar in Europe. Indian driver Arjun Maini is confirmed in the number 64 Ford Mustang GT3 Evo for Haupt Racing Team, alongside David Schumacher and team owner Hubert Haupt, marking the first appearance of Ford's GT3 car in the Asian Le Mans Series.

The quick version

For the WEC season and Le Mans, check whether your DTH operator still carries Eurosport first, since that costs nothing extra. If you stream, add the HBO Max hub inside JioHotstar for ₹49 a month. If neither works, buy the FIAWEC+ pass directly for a single race weekend. For Arjun Maini's Asian Le Mans Series races starting 13 November, just open YouTube. None of it needs the discovery+ app any more.
