Honda Motorcycle H'ness CB350The short answer: you sign up free on gentlemansride.com, pick the ride in your city, dress dapper and turn up on a motorcycle that is classic in age or in style. Fundraising is optional unless your city has set a minimum donation, which the site tells you during signup. Everything you raise goes to Movember, which funds early cancer detection, mental health support and suicide prevention for men.
The 2026 edition, the 15th, ran on Sunday 17 May 2026. DGR says more than 123,000 riders rode in 1,071 cities across 109 countries and raised $7.53 million for Movember. The official site puts the lifetime total at $60.5 million from about 130,000 riders in more than 1,070 cities. Triumph Motorcycles has been the official motorcycle partner since 2014, and within Team Triumph the top fundraiser globally gets a Bonneville T120.
The rules that trip people up
Two of them. First, the machine. DGR accepts motorcycles that are classic in age or in style, and its FAQ is blunt that modern sports bikes, dirt bikes and adventure motorcycles do not qualify. If you do not own something eligible, you can volunteer on the day or simply donate.
Second, the clothes. Dress dapper is the instruction, and tweed suits are the house uniform, with Most Dapper prizes handed out locally in India. Safety still comes first, and the FAQ specifically allows riders to wear armour under their suits. Rides are open to all genders. Each city gets one official ride, run by a local volunteer host who applies through the Host a Ride form, which is why your city's ride feels like a club event rather than a dealer activation.
The reward tiers are set in US dollars. Raise $250 or more and you earn the commemorative patch for that year, and $1,000 or more adds a limited edition pin pack. DGR says a maximum of 20 per cent of total fundraising covers event costs, with the rest going to Movember.

How big India actually is
Bigger in riders than in rupees. Triumph India announced the 13th Indian edition for 17 May 2026 across more than 50 cities, with hubs in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow in the north, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Nagpur in the west, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi in the south, and Kolkata, Guwahati and Bhubaneswar in the east. Signups were open to every brand, not only Triumph owners.
DGR's own India page lists 39 rides across 23 regions and 6,080 participants, with Hyderabad the largest single ride at 1,420 riders. A few listings show as cancelled, including Allahabad, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Vadodara, so check your city's page is live before you plan around it. India turns out big crowds and small donation totals, which is the honest picture: most Indian riders join for the ride and the photographs, and the fundraising page stays empty.
What qualifies from an Indian garage
Apply the rule and most of the Indian modern classic shelf is in. A Royal Enfield Classic 350, Interceptor 650 or Shotgun 650, a Jawa 42, a Yezdi Roadster, a Honda H'ness CB350, a Triumph Speed 400 or Thruxton 400, any Bullet of any vintage, plus genuine old iron such as a Yezdi Roadking or a Lambretta. Out, by the same rule, go the KTM Duke, the Yamaha R15, the Himalayan 450 and anything with knobbly tyres.
The next ride date had not been posted on the official site when this was written, so watch gentlemansride.com and your city's ride page. Registration opens months ahead, and the patch is earned, not bought.

Classic 350 should tick the "classic in style" box I guess, but curious if tweed over riding armour actually feels safe on a real ride or just looks good for photos. Also wonder if Mumbai's edition sets a minimum donation this year.
