Honda's racing arm has put its badge on parts you can buy over a dealer counter. On 22 October 2026, Honda Racing Corporation US announced HRC Performance Parts, a factory line of wheels and exhausts for production Hondas and Acuras. The parts go on display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas from 3 to 6 November, at booth #24789 in the Central Hall, and sales start in March 2027 through Honda and Acura dealers in the United States and the Honda DreamShop online store.

What is actually in the first batch

Three products, and the numbers are specific.

The headline piece is a 19x10-inch forged aluminium wheel for the 2023 onwards Civic Type R and the 2024 onwards Acura Integra Type S. HRC quotes 20.8 lbs a wheel, which it says is 5.5 lbs lighter than the factory item, with 0.5 inches more width and plus 5 mm of offset. It was developed with 2elle-engineering and comes in grey or bronze.

Second is an 18x8-inch forged wheel for the 2026 onwards Passport and the 2023 onwards Pilot, which HRC says carries 100 kg more load than the factory wheel, in Machine Black and Techna Bronze.

Third is a stainless steel cat-back exhaust for the same two SUVs and their 3.5-litre V6, built with Borla. HRC says it increases flowrate up to 6 per cent and increases ground clearance by up to 1.9 inches, the latter mattering for the Passport TrailSport crowd.

Alongside those, HRC will show prototypes that are not yet on sale: adjustable coilovers with camber plates, a short throw shifter and a big Brembo brake kit with six-piston calipers. "Our new HRC Performance Parts are designed and developed by HRC engineers with the same attention to detail given to our championship-winning race cars, both on and off-road," said Jon Ikeda, senior vice president of HRC US, in the release.

Why a factory parts line matters

This is Honda doing what Toyota does with TRD, Nissan with NISMO and Stellantis with Mopar. A part sold through the dealer network carries a different risk profile to a part bought off a forum. It is fitted by the same workshop that services the car, it is engineered against the vehicle's own load and clearance targets, and the warranty conversation is simpler. For an aftermarket that still fights counterfeits and untested copies, that is useful.

It also tells you where the money is. Two of the three launch parts are for the Passport and Pilot, not the Type R. Overlanding pays the bills.

None of this reaches India, and what to do if you want it anyway

Honda Cars India sells the City, the Amaze and the Elevate. The Civic Type R, the Integra, the Pilot and the Passport are not on sale here, so no Indian dealer will stock any of it. Private import of individual parts is possible, but you pay customs duty on top of a US retail price that HRC has not disclosed.

The legal point is worth keeping in front of you. Any change that alters the particulars entered in your registration certificate needs RTO consent under Section 52 of the Motor Vehicles Act, and that includes a wheel that changes width, offset and rolling radius. On exhausts, Rule 120 of the CMVR sets a 75 dB limit for cars and 80 dB for two-wheelers, and a modified exhaust challan under Section 190(2) can run up to ₹10,000, with impounding for repeat offences. A cat-back that keeps the catalytic converter in place is a very different animal to a straight pipe, but neither is automatically legal here. Get the paperwork before you get the part.
