MotorsportDallas Glenn ran 6.434 seconds at 213.50 mph in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis on 17 October 2026, the quickest run in NHRA Pro Stock history. It gave him his third top qualifying position of the season and the 15th of his career.
The more remarkable number sits behind it. All 16 cars that made the Pro Stock field ran in the 6.40s, which NHRA called the quickest field in the class's history. Aaron Stanfield was second on 6.443 at 213.42 mph and Matt Latino third on 6.447 at 213.63 mph. Pro Stock cars are naturally aspirated, carburettor-free since 2016 and limited to 500 cubic inches, so a tenth of a second across an entire 16 car field is a large swing in a class where development is usually measured in thousandths.

In the nitro classes, Shawn Langdon led Top Fuel qualifying with a 3.648 at 340.39 mph, his eighth number one of the season. Jack Beckman took Funny Car with a 3.852 at 330.13 mph and Gaige Herrera led Pro Stock Motorcycle on 6.651 at 203.05 mph.
Glenn backed it up on Sunday
Race day on 18 October went Glenn's way too. He beat Matt Hartford in the Pro Stock final with a 6.478 at 212.30 mph, his fifth win of 2026 and back to back victories at the Texas Motorplex, and that moved him back into the championship lead by 14 points over Stanfield.
Antron Brown won Top Fuel with a 3.706 at 335.75 mph after rookie Maddi Gordon went red in the final, the 83rd win of Brown's career. J.R. Todd took Funny Car with a 3.931 at 331.76 mph over points leader Matt Hagan, his first Funny Car win in Dallas. Matt Smith beat Pro Stock Motorcycle points leader Richard Gadson on a holeshot, 6.660 to Gadson's quicker 6.654, with a.006 reaction time doing the work.
That was race 18 of 20, and the fourth of six in the Countdown playoffs. The Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals powered by Dodge runs from 29 October to 1 November at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with the Pomona finals from 12 to 15 November.
What those ETs mean for an Indian reader
India's fastest legal strip action gives the context. At the 16th Valley Run, held on the Aamby Valley airstrip in Maharashtra from 17 to 19 April 2026, Sean Rogers' Audi R8 was the quickest car at 9.229 seconds and Shahrukh Khan's BMW S1000RR the quickest bike at 9.592 seconds, from 450 entries across two and four wheels. Ajit Suvarna's 9.381 second wheelie on a Honda CBR1000RR was in the same ballpark.

So the quickest tuned street car in India is roughly three seconds behind a Pro Stock car and more than five seconds behind a Top Fuel dragster. That is not a criticism of the cars. It is a facility gap. Valley Run and India's other drag events run on airstrips, which is why NHRA global strategic advisor Mark Hughes said in 2024 that there is a strong case for a permanent drag strip in India, pointing to concrete walls, a prepared and cleaned surface and a proper staging area once cars make 1,000 bhp or more. Until that exists, Indian drag racing stays an occasional weekend rather than a season, and tuned cars that could be timed properly keep ending up on highways instead.
