Audi A4The 2027 Hot Wheels mainline is being rolled out case by case, and the third mix is now out in the open. An unboxing published by autoevolution on 25 October 2026 lists the Aston Martin DBS Safari Edition as the third Super Treasure Hunt of the 2027 year, in a metalflake green finish on black five-spoke rims. The site notes it is only the second Aston Martin to be given Super Treasure Hunt status in 19 years, which is the sort of line that moves prices on resale groups within hours.
The regular Treasure Hunt in Case C is the GT Hunter, done in a red, yellow and green scheme. Five castings are new to the case: the Quinjet, which is headed for the Screen Time collection, a Braille Racer version of the Deora II, a Cadillac Formula 1 team race car, a police-spec Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 and the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which is new to the mainline. The case also repeats the Ferrari F2004, the Honda Civic Type R EK9 and the Audi TT Safari from Case B.
How the year started
Case A was documented by HW Headline on 15 and 16 October. Its three new castings are the Ultra Turbofire in the Let's Race series, a Tooned Bone Shaker in Rod Squad and a Ferrari 308 GTS in the Ferrari series. The Super Treasure Hunt is the '64 Lincoln Continental, listed as 1 of 5 in Best in Class, and the regular Treasure Hunt is the El Segundo Coupe, 1 of 5 in HW Hall of Famers. The case is split across nine series, with Nightspeed and HW Euro getting three cars each and Speed Blur and Best in Class just one each.
A separate autoevolution piece on 16 October covered a new 2027 five-car set called Nitro Grid, which leans on Fast and Furious cars with a neon treatment. The set includes a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, a 1996 Acura Integra GSR, a Mitsubishi Eclipse in neon blue, a Mazda RX-7 in purple and a 1992 Honda Civic EG with a metal base. The same report flags a Shelby GT500 in Spectraflame gold as the seventh Super Treasure Hunt of 2027.
What this costs in India
None of this is officially priced for India yet, and case letters are a distribution detail rather than something printed on a shelf. What Indian buyers can use is the going rate. The price guide on collector shop Indian Diecast Hub, updated in May 2026, puts Mattel India's MRP for a basic mainline Hot Wheels at ₹149, with premium mainline cars on Real Riders at ₹399 to ₹599. For imported stock it lists ₹449 to ₹599 for a mainline, ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 for a premium, ₹600 to ₹1,500 for a Treasure Hunt and ₹3,500 to ₹6,000 for a Super Treasure Hunt.

That last band is where care is needed. A Super Treasure Hunt is worth that money only if the paint and wheels match the factory spec, and for the Aston Martin DBS Safari Edition the published description is metalflake green with black five-spoke rims. Repainted and rewheeled fakes turn up on Indian resale listings often enough that it is worth asking for photographs of the card, the base and the tyres before paying. If a seller quotes Super Treasure Hunt money for a car that arrived in a normal case mix, walk away.
For Indian collectors the practical takeaway is simple. Case A and Case C stock will reach local importers first and official retail later, so the cheapest way into the 2027 line is to buy the ordinary cars at MRP and leave the hunting to people who enjoy it.
