A DPF warning that kept coming back, and a Kurnool order that sided with the owner

Sat with this one for a while, because our mHawk carries a DPF too: the Kurnool commission ordering Kia to refund ₹10.99 lakh over recurring Sonet diesel DPF warnings.
What the owner reported is the part that nags at me. The regeneration request flashed at 364 km and kept returning over three years despite repeated visits. Kia and the dealer argued in their reply that BS6 DPF alerts depend on driving conditions, fuel quality and usage, and pointed to short trips, rat bitten sensor wiring and injector back leakage. The commission held that repeated failed repairs inside warranty were a deficiency in service and ordered the refund with interest and compensation (24law's summary of the order).
My habit is a proper highway stretch every couple of weeks, since city crawling and long trail idling are what a filter hates most.
So, Tribe: year, variant, kilometres, and what your advisor actually told you when that light came up.

Bheem that rat bitten sensor wiring detail is what got me, shows how many random things can trigger the same warning light. That's exactly why I don't skip my highway run, scared of the DPF clogging from pure city use. Anyone else running an mHawk had a forced regen actually fail on them, not just the light coming on?
