Axor, the premium brand from Vega Auto, has put the Agera full-face helmet on sale in India at ₹9,251 inclusive of taxes. BikeWale reported the launch on 21 October 2026 and gogi.in dates the debut to 19 October. The talking point here is not the rear spoiler. It is the label. Axor's own product page lists ECE 22.06 for Europe, DOT FMVSS No. 218 for the US and ISI certification to IS:4151, on a helmet that costs under ₹10,000.

What ₹9,251 buys

The Agera uses a high impact ABS shell with a four density EPS liner, according to BikeWale, which also reports two outer shell sizes, XS to M and L to XXL, so the smaller heads are not stuck wearing a large shell packed with foam. Axor lists sizes S to 2XL in black, dull black, Nardo grey and white, with Raiz, Starry and Rush graphics at the same price.

Ventilation runs through a top intake, two brow vents, a mouth vent and a rear exhaust routed through the spoiler, per BikeWale. A chin curtain is included. The outer Revo visor is Pinlock ready and comes off without tools, there is an internal smoke sun visor, a double D-ring strap and EQRS cheek pads for emergency removal.

The box is the quiet value here. Axor says the helmet ships with a Pinlock 70 anti-fog insert worth ₹2,600 and a spare Revo visor worth ₹1,600, which it totals at ₹4,200 of accessories.

On mass, the sources differ slightly and both are worth knowing. Axor's site quotes 1700 plus or minus 50 grams for the solid colour helmet. BikeWale quotes about 1,650 plus or minus 50 grams off the India specific Raiz listing. Either way this is a conventional ABS lid, not a featherweight composite, so expect to feel it on a long day in the saddle.

The ISI mark is the one that makes it legal, and the one being faked

For a rider in India, the ECE and DOT lines are nice to have. The ISI mark is the one that matters legally. A Quality Control Order issued by the central government in 2021 makes BIS certification mandatory for every helmet sold in India, and helmets without it are illegal to manufacture, sell or import, as DriveSpark notes in its report on Karnataka's move against half helmets.

That is exactly where the problem sits. Rajeev Kapur, president of the Two Wheeler Helmet Manufacturers Association of India, has asked enforcement to trace non-compliant products "from the retailer to the distributor and manufacturer, including those carrying fake ISI marks". The same report cites roughly 3,581 deaths in Karnataka in 2024 linked to riders not wearing helmets, and says two-wheelers account for 48.3 per cent of all road accident deaths in India.

What to check before you pay

BIS enforcement is active. In a Vijayawada raid, Bureau of Indian Standards officials seized helmets branded XINOR NEXO and AXXIS that lacked the mandatory ISI mark, with proceedings started under Sections 17 and 29(3) of the BIS Act, 2016. Deccan Chronicle reports those sections carry penalties of up to three years imprisonment and fines of ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh, or up to ten times the value of the goods.

BIS asks buyers to verify a product through the BIS Care app and to report misuse of certification marks. Do that with any helmet, including this one, before the cash leaves your hand. A printed sticker is not a certificate.

9251 for ECE 22.06 plus ISI together is genuinely surprising, most lids in that range just slap ISI and call it done. My Brezza helmet shelf has room but I'm more curious how they're pricing it this low with a spare visor and Pinlock included, something has to be thin somewhere no.
