Been reading through the AdBlue talk on the XUV700 diesel thread on Team-BHP and it's more varied than I expected. The DEF tank is 20 litres and the dash warns you once it drops to 5. Several owners there say actual usage tracks roughly 3 to 5 percent of diesel burned, so a lot depends on how much highway versus city you're doing.

What I'm curious about is the habit side of it. Do you let the service centre top it up whenever the car goes in, or do you keep a can in the boot and do it yourself when the warning shows up. Mine hasn't asked for a top up yet but I'd rather have a plan than scramble if it pings me on a long drive.

If you've seen the E31 low DEF warning on yours, how many kilometres had you done when it showed up? Would help the newer owners here plan around it.
