Auxiliary light bars on the XUV700: the night-drive fix half our group has already fitted

Night highway runs are where the stock XUV700 lighting feels just okay to me, and I know a fair few owners here have gone shopping for a light bar or extra driving lamp to fix that.
Before you add one, worth reading what the law actually allows. Per this breakdown, CMVR caps front lighting at four lamps total including headlights, white or yellowish beam only, forward output effectively capped around 3000 lumens, mounted below 1.5 metres, and the beam must not dazzle anyone from 8 metres away. Those 19000 lumen bars everyone sells are meant for private trails and expeditions, not for running lit on the highway.
So the real trade-off is a modest, properly aimed auxiliary lamp that stays within those limits versus a bright bar you switch off the moment you hit tarmac. I would rather spend on the second kind and actually use it legally.
Has anyone here fitted auxiliary lamps on their AX7 and kept it road legal?
