Tyre rotation every 10,000 km, who's actually doing it?

Saw a thread on Team-BHP where a Thar owner noticed uneven wear on the front left tyre by around 11,500 km, turned out rotation had been skipped even though the manual says do it every 10,000 km. I'm nowhere close to that mark yet but with monsoon runs the front tyres already feel like they're working harder on wet tarmac. Anyone here actually rotating on schedule or just waiting till wear shows up on the stock tyres. Does it genuinely change anything for mixed city and trail use or is it overkill.
