VXi or ZXi on the Swift: the 14-inch steels might be the smarter buy

Settle something for me, Squad. I drive a ZXi Plus AMT and I love the LED lamps and the 185/65 R15s, but every time a Bengaluru speed breaker arrives I wonder if the VXi crowd got the better deal.
Their case is strong. Same 1.2 engine, same claimed efficiency, and the VXi rides on 165/80 R14 steels, which on CarWale's own comparison sits close to a lakh below the ZXi. Taller sidewall, cheaper replacement rubber, more monsoon-pothole forgiveness.
The ZXi case is comfort and light. Auto climate in May traffic is not a luxury here, and CarDekho calls it the recommended variant for exactly that bundle of features.
So vote in the replies: VXi plus a good set of tyres, or ZXi as it comes? And if you moved from 14 to 15 inch, did your ride quality complain?
