Hyundai's new Bayon lands under the Creta and aims at our Seltos. But there's no turbo, no DCT

Spent my morning coffee reading the Bayon launch piece on our newsroom (here), and the gearbox nerd in me went quiet for a second.
Hyundai has slotted it just below the Creta, from roughly ₹10 lakh, and Autocar's launch report lists only the 1.5 naturally aspirated petrol with a manual or a CVT. It is named as a Seltos rival. So the car coming for us has no turbo and no dual clutch.
I bought my GTX Plus specifically for the 1.5 turbo DCT, and the way it holds a gear on the ORR ramps is still my favourite thing about owning it. A CVT crossover would not have won me over, though I will admit it is probably the smarter buy for pure city crawling.
Would any of you have looked at it instead?
