Coolant on our petrol Seltos is really a 60 month clause, not a kilometre one

Coolant is the one line on our schedule nobody seems to book. I went through the Kia India owner's manual for the Seltos and the petrol cars get their first coolant replacement at 1,00,000 km or 60 months, whichever comes first.

That second number is the catch. If you bought in 2020 or 2021 and you do modest city kilometres like I do around Hyderabad, the calendar arrives long before the odometer does. And once that first change is done, the manual tightens right up to every 20,000 km or 24 months, which is a lot more often than most of us assume.

Same page puts the air cleaner and the cabin filter at 20,000 km. I'd rather do the cabin one sooner given what the ORR dust does to it.
