Turbo iMT or turbo DCT: the clutchless one is cheaper, but ARAI says it drinks more

Odd thing about our turbo petrol: the gearbox that looks like the frugal choice isn't. Cars24's variant table of the new Seltos ARAI figures puts the 7DCT at 17.5 kmpl and the 6-speed iMT at 15.6. The automatic wins on paper, which still surprises people at showrooms.
But the iMT camp has a real case. CarWale's iMT review calls it the middle ground, clutch pedal gone but you still choose the gear, and notes the DCT costs significantly more. In Hyderabad crawl from Gachibowli to Hitec City, I'm happy I took the DCT in my GTX Plus. On an open Srisailam run though, I do miss picking my own gear and holding it.
So: iMT or DCT? Vote in the replies, and tell me what your actual city tank average looks like, not the sticker.
