450X battery warranty ending soon, worth taking Eight70 cover?

My 450X warranty is coming closer to its end and I'm thinking about whether to take the Eight70 extended battery cover before it expires. Saw a Team-BHP thread about a 450X owner whose battery degraded badly right after the standard cover ran out, kept losing range. Anyone here actually checked their battery SoH on the Ather app after a couple of years? Did the extended warranty feel worth it or did your pack hold up fine without it.

yash_bose· 6 days agoPrakash, no personal experience here since I run the Thar, but that thread you linked is a good one to go through properly, degradation right after warranty lapse seems to be the common complaint pattern. Would just check if Eight70 covers capacity loss or only outright failure, that distinction matters a lot before you pay for it.
