Mulshi lake round trip on S1 Pro, charging on the way back?

Thinking of doing the Pune to Mulshi lake loop on a weekend morning before it gets too hot. Saw this Tripoto trip report pegging it at roughly 50-65 km one way depending on route, which on paper is fine for a full charge but the return leg with AC off and some ghat sections has me a bit worried.

Anyone here done this round trip on an S1 Pro without topping up at Mulshi? Is the road till the lake proper tarmac the whole way or does it turn broken near the dam. Also curious if regen actually gives back anything meaningful on the descents or if that's just marketing.
