I have been sketching a coastal day out for us. Thiruvanmiyur down ECR to Mahabalipuram and back, roughly 55 km each way, flat smooth tarmac with the sea sitting on your left most of the morning. Flat is kind to an S1 Pro, which is the whole point. On ghats the number collapses, and our IDC explainer covers why.
Timing: the northeast monsoon is in full swing over Tamil Nadu right now and rainfall is running above normal, so I would park this until late January, when ECR dries and mornings are still cool. No permits, just helmet and papers.
Charging needs thought. Ola's own Chennai hypercharger list shows two stations, both inside the city at BPCL pumps, nothing out on ECR. So plan it as one charge out and back, early start, breakfast at Kovalam.
Checks the night before: cold tyre pressure, pad thickness, cable in the boot.
