This one comes up every time a new owner joins, so let us settle it properly in the replies.

I run the 45 kWh Long Range in Empowered Oxide, and my honest reason was simple. I did not want to plan a Pune run around a charger. Autocar's instrumented test put the 45 at roughly 350 km mixed in Eco with light regen, which matches what I see on a calm week (their test here).

But the 30 kWh crowd has a real argument. If your week is office, school, market and back, you are paying for battery you tow around unused, and the smaller pack costs less and charges full overnight on a modest home setup. Owners on the forums keep saying the same thing.

So: bigger battery for peace of mind, or smaller battery and smarter planning? Vote 45 or 30 below and tell me your typical daily kilometres.
