Bengaluru to Ooty via Bandipur on the 450, before winter crowds hit

Thinking of doing Bengaluru to Ooty via Mysore and Bandipur next weekend, just a there and back. Never timed a forest gate crossing on the bike before, saw on this page that two wheelers get shut out from 6 PM, way earlier than cars. So if I leave Bengaluru by 6 AM is that comfortable or cutting it close with breakfast stops. Also is the Gudalur ghat surface still broken up post monsoon or has it been patched. Anyone done this run on the 450 recently, what did you check on the bike before the climb, tyre pressure, chain slack, anything specific for the hairpins.

Tushar, 6 AM start should be fine if breakfast stop is quick, that 6 PM gate for two wheelers you mentioned leaves good buffer even with Mysore traffic factored in. No clue on current Gudalur ghat surface, haven't ridden there myself, maybe post on the FB groups for that stretch specifically. One thing on my mind for the 450X would be range through those hairpins, regen helps downhill but I'd still keep an eye on battery before committing to the climb back.
