Brake fluid is an age thing, not a kilometre thing, and Hyundai's own two pages disagree

My Robust Emerald SX(O) is at the stage where brake fluid matters more than odometer readings, so I went digging on Hyundai India's own site for a clean answer. Funny thing is the two pages don't quite match. The brake oil page says replace every 40,000 km or 36 months, whichever comes earlier, while the periodic maintenance chart for Creta petrol lists brake oil at 45,000 km or 3 years.
For most of us the clock wins anyway. If you're doing eight or ten thousand a year on city runs and the odd Sunday drive, three years lands well before the kilometres do. Hyundai is clear it wants DOT 4 and warns against mixing DOT 3 and DOT 4.
Same chart puts coolant on the 1.5 turbo at 75,000 km, which is worth remembering if it appears on a quote early.
Curious which of those two numbers your service advisor went with.

Arjun, good catch on the mismatch. My advisor quoted the 36 month line when I asked last time, didn't even mention the km figure. Honestly makes sense since clock based ageing is the real worry with moisture absorption. Did your advisor explain why the two Hyundai pages differ or just pick one silently?
