Classic 350 or Hunter 350 for the Sunday run: 18 extra kilos of calm, or the lighter one that wins on paper?

This one keeps coming up whenever a new rider joins our Sunday group, so let's settle it in the replies.

I ride a Chrome Red Classic on spokes and my bias is obvious. The forward pegs and tall bar give me that lazy triangle where my back stays happy from Kochi out to Athirappilly, and the weight is exactly what I want on the Highway 544 trucks' wake.

But honestly, BikeWale's comparison test handed it to the Hunter, 74 points against 66.5, calling it sportier and better value while the Classic suits unhurried cruising. They also note the Classic carries about 18kg more. Fair points, both.

My one real gripe stays the stock saddle on long days, and no comparison score fixes that.

Classic for me, Joseph, but that 18kg gap bugs me too. Wonder how much of that is just the extra chrome and spokes vs actual frame weight. Agree 100% on the seat though, stock saddle is the weak link on any Sunday run past 100km, no comparison test is fixing that one.

Classic for me too Joseph. On Highway 544 that extra weight probably helps against crosswinds from trucks more than the Hunter's agility helps you. Anyone here actually swapped the stock saddle for something aftermarket? Curious if it's worth it before I plan a long Sunday run.
