Sunday plan: Kochi to Vagamon before the mist lifts, and what I'd check on the Classic first

The dry months are here, so Vagamon is back on my list. November to February is when those meadows stay green and the road stays grippy, and there are no forest permits or timing gates to worry about, which is a relief after the Malakkappara kind of planning.

My plan is a 5.30 am roll out of Kochi, NH85 through Muvattupuzha and Thodupuzha for breakfast, then up. The South First puts it at about 102 km and three to four hours, and honestly the last climb is where you slow down anyway. Hairpins, narrow tar, and the final few km into town are patchy.

On the bike: tyre pressure checked cold, chain tension, and since mine is spoked and tube type, a plug kit is useless so I carry a spare tube. If you are adding fog lamps for that mist, do the relay properly (wiring melts otherwise).

Kanjar side or Teekoy side, which climb would you take me up?
