Fog lamps are almost standard kit on a Classic in Kerala monsoon, so this piece on aftermarket fog lamps melting bike wiring is worth ten minutes of your time.

The short version of what owners report: lamps get spliced straight into the headlight or pilot wire, the thin stock wire carries more current than it was ever meant to, and the insulation softens or the connector browns. Nothing official from any manufacturer on this, because it is accessory wiring, not a factory fault. The accepted fix is boring and cheap: feed the lamps from the battery through a relay with an inline fuse, so the handlebar switch only triggers the relay. One India-focused harness guide says the same, and there is an old xBhp thread where a fuse blew every time the auxiliary lamps came on.

Mine are on a relay from day one, so I have nothing dramatic to report. If you have opened your headlight bowl and seen heat marks, tell me the year, variant and kilometres, and what your dealer said when they saw the accessory wiring.
