10,000 km is where the air filter gets thrown away, not just tapped clean

My Chrome Red is creeping up on a big odometer number, so I went and read the schedule properly instead of trusting memory.
Turns out the 5,000 km visits only clean the air filter element. The actual replacement is a 10,000 km job, and that is also where the oil filter goes out along with the engine oil. This schedule breakdown lays it out visit by visit, and it matches what the manual table says.
The bit worth knowing if you are still inside the four free services: labour is free, parts and lubricants are not. So the 10,000 km bill is always the fatter one, because you are paying for oil plus two filters in one go.
On Kochi roads with all our dust and monsoon grit, I would rather not stretch that filter. Anyone here replacing it earlier than the book says?
