Extended warranty on Classic 350, worth taking or skip it?

Saw this on Team-BHP about RE's extended warranty plus RSA packages going up to 5 years. Mine is still inside the standard warranty period but thinking of locking in a plan now since it's cheaper before 6 months are up. Never had a bike long enough to actually use one of these, so genuinely asking, has anyone claimed under it for anything real, or does it just sit unused till resale time. Is it worth it for a mostly city plus occasional highway rider or should I just save that money and self insure for repairs.

Pranav, I haven't claimed under one so can't say from experience. But do the math on what the plan costs vs what a clutch plate or fork service would run you out of warranty, that's the only real comparison. For mostly city riding the standard warranty period probably covers the stuff that fails early anyway. Did the Team-BHP thread mention claim rejection rates or just pricing?
