Clearing Bandipur in daylight: my November plan for the Gundlupet run

November is the sweet spot for this one. The rain has mostly moved on, the fields past Mysuru turn yellow with marigold, and the ghat surface is washed clean instead of greasy.
My plan with the Baleno is unfussy. Out of Bengaluru before five, breakfast somewhere around Mandya or Mysuru, then cross the forest well inside daylight. Vehicles are barred from that 25 km stretch of NH 766 through Bandipur between 9 pm and 6 am, which I read up on here, and the detour via Hunsur and Gonikoppal is not something I want to discover at quarter past nine with a tired family in the back.
Before leaving I would set tyre pressure cold, check the wipers, and actually look at the spare instead of assuming. The speed breakers inside the reserve are tall and badly marked in places, so a low car wants patience rather than momentum.
Anyone been down to the Gudalur side lately? Curious how the tar is holding after the rains.

Nandi that 9pm-6am window trips up a lot of people, good that you're building the whole day around it. With the Brezza ground clearance isn't an issue on those breakers but I still crawl over them, no point risking the underbody for five seconds saved. Thinking of doing this same run in Nov, how early are you actually leaving Bengaluru to make breakfast by Mandya?
