Frame sliders on the 390: cheap insurance or just track-day theatre?

Mine's an Electronic Orange with frame sliders bolted on since day one, and I still get asked why a street bike needs them. Simple answer: a slow drop in the pit lane or a tip-over in the garage shouldn't cost you a tank, rad shroud and engine case in one go. The puck takes the hit, you don't.
Cost is sane too. I was reading through listings and most Gen 3 sliders sit around the ₹1,800 to ₹3,000 mark depending on whether it's Delrin or aluminium, nothing that breaks the bank for the protection they buy.
Legally they're a non-issue. Crash guards and sliders don't touch the bike's structure or dimensions, so RTO and insurance never blink, unlike the slip-on can conversation we had here. The only real trade-off is ground clearance on speed bumps if you go with a chunky puck.
Anyone running them stock-fit, or did you have to drill?
